The greatest PC game ever made?

I'm a huge fan of the Counter-Strike series, source specifically I've accumulated hundreds of hours playing the games, mainly because I enjoy how many community maps and game modes there are, as with all Valve games, the community input into making the games matches and often surpasses the developer input, and i think that should be used in most games, if not all.

p.s. was this magazine P.C. Gamer, I remember picking up a copy with the top 100 PC games of all time. (we have our own version in the UK, not sure if the US on is different)

In the US I happen to use Game Informers where I get at Game Stop. However I am not completely sure that is magazine covers as much popularity as in my general area
