Employers must provide employees with health insurance that complies with the Law's basic standards. UaeStudents take avail The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has made it plain that it will take any attempts to circumvent this requirement severely. The Law says that companies cannot simply pass on the expense of the insurance to their employees. The renewal of an employee's visa will be conditioned on the employee having health insurance in place as a way to ensure cover is established and maintained. Employers are required to offer basic health insurance, with yearly premiums ranging from Dh500 to Dh700 and a maximum of Dh1500.
